Yoga, swimming, evening class, chatting on-line to friends, reading, TV. Out to the pub with work tonight. Go out at the weekends - walking, museums, catching up with friends. Some OLD. Housework, laundry, gardening.

Cinema has been a lifeline during the last couple of years for me, now in person largely. Art exhibitions important too.

Basically, I do whatever I like. DH and I have couple time, I do my arts & crafts, go hiking, cook a lot of food from scratch. Discuss our Wordle streaks Grin We also do a lot of stuff to be sensible with our income and outgoings - DH shops around on the bills and I batch-cook for the freezer, prep the dried stuff for cooking, etc. I love being childfree because we have so much control over our lives and far less interference from others (school, grandparents, kids clubs etc).

The only limiter the last few weeks has been the poor weather and dark evenings with a lot of things closing early. In the dark wet evenings we've done the chores so we can book days out at the weekend, or the special member events at venues we support.

Long dog walks, meals out, stay with family, binge watch TV etc!

hoorayandupsherises · 17/02/2022 16:02

Look after/ride the horses, walk the dog, reading, gentle jogging, yoga classes online, painting and drawing and lots of watching TV/Netflix! I scroll through stuff on my phone, but I can't remember the last time I opened my personal laptop - it feels too much like work.

Running club 2x a week, ride my horse, go out for drinks/food/to watch football/occasionally go bouldering, to the cinema or theatre.
At weekends parkrun religiously, go hiking, go to galleries, go to other cities etc etc. always feel busy!

Oh also have a membership for a leisure centre and like to convince myself I go swimming a lot but I do not

Glitterygreen · 17/02/2022 16:13

Stare at another screen...the TV! Grin

Also, see friends, do my allotment, read, go out for dinner with DP or get a takeaway on a Saturday night.

CurbsideProphet · 17/02/2022 16:23

I do yoga two nights a week, read, do some colouring, watch telly.
DH uses his camera editing software, plays a computer game he likes, watch telly.

On weekends he goes to football with friends. We both like walking / countryside / country pubs. We've also got National Trust membership for the Lake District car parks. Once spring comes we have a big garden project planned and we're looking into a kitchen extension.

Pre kids? In hindsight, wasted the absolute luxury of time that I had! Dinner, video games, netflix etc.

Weekends would be mooching round markets or the supermarket, housework.

Now I dont have the time I wish I had been more productive and gone swimming and out to dinner more.

Not a huge amount, tbh. Need to get better at it.

Have a dog but he’s only a puppy so decent walks aren’t possible yet. I do spend time playing with him and training him and wiping up his piss every evening, of course.

I cook. Nothing too elaborate mid-week.

We’ve recently moved house so doing a lot of DIY/assembly at the minute.

I volunteer with a charity as a member of their board and that takes up two evenings a month.

I also have some side-work I do that’s connected to my real job so I sometimes do prep work for that.

But mainly, I flick through Netflix trying to find something to watch and invariably end up watching The Office (US) yet again.
