Dairy free traybake help

noodledoodler · 13/02/2022 19:43

I have a bag of biscoff crumbs I need to use up, some mini marshmallows and some golden syrup. What else could I add to make a traybake, ideally dairy free so chocolate and condensed milk are out 😔 any ideas please?

Use dairy free butter and dark chocolate (lots are dairy free). You can just follow any rocky road basic recipe then.

This one is good.

Dairy free chocolate. There's loads of different vegan chocolates in the supermarkets.

You can also get vegan condensed milk

Oooh vegan condensed milk, didn't know that, thanks. Will have a look for some.
Dairy free chocolate also causes tummy upset, not sure why but DD (cows milk allergy) can't have it either.

They could be intolerant to soya as well some don’t have soya!

What about a flapjack type recipe?

Have been thinking about flapjacks with dairy free butter, we have been discussing what else DD might like to add to the oats. The biscoff crumbs are left over from making cheesecake, need used up and as it's mid term we are planning some baking together.

@TonksInPurple you could be right, she's never seemed to have a reaction to soya previously but she has steered clear of soya products for a while now
