Has anyone ever used Patisserie Valerie to deliver a birthday cake? Were they any good, and did it arrive on time?

Sorry to say this but their cakes used to be out of this world, and now they are not.

@WeAllHaveWings honestly we get this cake for every birthday and it's always been delicious. One time my husband cut the whole cake and didn't put it back in the fridge and it went a bit dry, so after that we only cut what we are eating at that time and put it back in the fridge and it's always been fine.

Looking forward to it. Ds loves chocolate cake so I doubt it will be in the fridge for long!

emailed PV on 23 April about a Lotus biscoff cake being very dry and inedible. I received a holding email but nothing else. I messaged them again and still no reply. I have told so many people about how awful the cake was. If anyone mentions an occasion I will save them the disappointment of a tasteless cake and disappointed relative.
Reading other reviews I'm wondering if the cakes are made by different bakeries. How can some people be so pleased with their orders yet others so appalled.
