This thread reminds me of Ramona and her doll called Chevrolet .

My sister had a friend called Chevrolet. Everyone called her Chevy. Neither were impressed when dad and I would sing American pie 😂

Someone mentioned Cinnamon. My friend had two girls named Cinnamon in her year 7 class 😂

There's actually a Saint Candida - has a church dedicated to her in Dorset and everything. It's just one of the words in Latin for 'white'.

It's a bit unfortunate that the word was used to name a genus of fungi, including one many of us are all too familiar with.
