Help, I ate a Peppa Pig gummy vitamin and I think I will never be free of the taste

The DC complained they were horrible and handed them back. "Don't be so bloody precious," I said, and popped one in my mouth. It's basically a sweet, how bad could it be?

Oh. My. God. They were "Omega-3 vitamins" and they tasted like a Jelly Tot had mated with a lab-generated rotten salmon. The cloying, synthetic fish...

I spat it out in the toilet, apologised profusely to the DC, and threw the bottle of the nightmarish things away. But that was four hours ago and I can still taste it. I drowned my dinner in garlic; didn't help. I just poured away a perfectly good beer because all I could think was "...lingeringly fishy".

Heeeeeelp meeeeeee

Well, oily fish does contain large quantities of Omega-3, so perhaps what makes fish oil taste fishy is actually the taste of Omega-3. As mentioned, it tasted like an artificially lab-generated fish... but a fish nonetheless.

"Never bite into anything fish-flavoured that is not an actual fish" is a life lesson I'm taking away from this.

Why don't they taste of bacon? They absolutely should taste of bacon. Or sausage.

They should definitely taste of sausage.

Coffee has been of help in driving out the fish-ghost today. I believe I'll sleep tonight.
