How long does it take to do a jigsaw??

Started a 1000 piece puzzle today with every intention of finishing it in an hour
Obviously my estimated time was WAY off, I did the maths based on my usual time to complete a 24 piece kids puzzle I think😂

I sat there for hours and don't seem to have got anywhere, I've got the edges done and am now working on the middle bit, had a good mind to just bin it but am determined to do it.
My son said at this rate it might be done by Xmas.
I'm actually looking forward to completing it, even if just to get the dining table back.

Just wondering how long you all take to do one of these, out of curiosity.

I did one of Notre Dame a few years ago which took several weeks. There was a lot of sky and I could only see the colour differences in natural daylight, which when you're working and it's winter diesny give you many opportunities!
DS has bought the Nightwatch from the Rijksmuseum. It's mainly black. I've promised to buy him the games console of his choice once he completes it, alone. It will never happen.

I collect the clementoni disney panorama puzzles.

They take me about 8 hours each.

I’m too impatient to do 1000 piece jigsaws. I’ll do 500 because I can finish that in about 3 evenings. They take up too much room!
