Covid and another illness at the same time?

I tested positive from a PCR last Thursday, I started showing symptoms on Monday night (24th Jan).

I have been so poorly, a lot worse than I thought I would be. I have woken again with a tickly feeling in my chest and I'm still bringing up mucus and feeling under the weather but I've had two negative LFT in two days. Could I have something else as well or do you think these a false negatives? So fed up now and just want to feel better. Has anyone experienced two illness at the same time?

Negative LFTs only mean you're no longer shedding the virus as much so officially no longer infectious. It doesn't mean you can't still have symptoms. It's like with a "normal" cold - it's common to continue coughing for up to 3 weeks afterwards. With any cold-like illness the symptoms can continue for quite a long time after the infectious period.

Yes I know people who have also needed antibiotics due to ear infection / throat infections at the same time.

This. People can feel really ill for a lot longer than the ten days. Doesn’t mean they are infectious for that long though.

Oh I didnt realise that. So I can still be experiencing symptoms of Covid? Its really odd because some days I'm ok and then other mornings I wake up feeling quite poorly again.
