My son is almost 4 and I’ve just noticed I’ve got a few days off work at the beginning of March (3 nights/4days)
Please give me some ideas! We are both sporty so had thought something active and an airb&b in the countryside, but it seems a bit lame.

We are East Midlands based so somewhere around this area work for us to happy to drive up to 3 hours for ideas.

Love the idea of something like Centre Parks but don’t I’ve anywhere near that budget.

Thanks in advance

Butlins? DD loved it aged 4 (and older!) And all your entertainment is included

Turtleoo · 02/02/2022 07:14

Similar to Butlins etc but Parkdean resorts have lots of locations and are cheap off peak if you don't mind a caravan holiday. Loads of activities for kids - I'm trying one in May after a friend recommended it

Ooh Butlins. Tots Week is specifically for under-5s. Really good value in term time. You can also use Tesco vouchers, you get triple the value, if you're a Tesco shopper.

SkankingMopoke · 02/02/2022 07:30

Agree with Butlins. Their Just For Tots breaks are great if the dates match your leave, but even on a normal week there will be plenty to do.

Thank you! I will look into these on my lunch break

Searles in Hunstanton. They have a good indoor pool.

Another vote for Butlins, specifically Skegness.
It's brilliant for young kids
All your shows and swimming are included, as well as a soft play and a small animal experience room ( sometimes you can hold the insects). The fairground I'd also included, with quite a few rides for little kids. I am not sure if they've just done away with tennis courts, but that was also free.
They often have mini archery and football too.
For a bit extra: high ropes course, mini golf, laser tag, bowling.
There's also a massive beach right on the doorstep. They have arcades too if you like that sort of thing.
Everyone who works there is fantastic with children.
Accomodation is basic but fine.

Yep, Butlins or Haven. Loads to do.

We did Haven loads when DD was small as they had loads of activities for kids - archery, fencing, mini high ropes, mini rock climbing plus the pool.

LIZS · 02/02/2022 17:11

Look at Hoseasons or groups of cottages with activities such as indoor pool,

Stompythedinosaur · 02/02/2022 17:17

Butlins sounds awful, but it is honestly brilliant for dc that age. Mine loved it.

TakeMeToYourLiar · 02/02/2022 17:21

I would suggest Butlins too, or if they're open by then a theme park break.
