Very exciting. Colanders.

I have two colanders, one biggish one small. Whatever I do they are the wrong size and I’m in danger of losing stuff down the sink.

A quick google tells me there are big over the sink ones and all sorted of fancy things.

What do you have?Grin
What will change my life?

For situations like this I just use a large sieve

IsDaveThere · 31/01/2022 10:58

I also tend to use my sieve but have lost pasta into the sink many times so really should dig the colander out from the bottom of the cupboard Grin

Use a sieve?

SheWoreYellow · 31/01/2022 11:10

Sieve has the same issues as the colander? Maybe I just need a better technique!
I find that if it’s a different size to the pan it’s either dodgy as I pour the stuff into it, or dodgy as as pour it back into the pan. By dodgy I mean in danger of losing stuff.

Can you get ones with a lip to help with pouring?

Judge do a universal straining lid, on offer on Amazon atm, use it with your existing pots and pans.

Big sieve
Small sieve
Big colander
Small colander
Tea strainer

Works for me. Smile
