Early Years Setting and Child Behaviour

So my child goes to 2 different nursery settings however he has very different behaviour at the 2.

Here is an example;
Setting 1 - he has extreme outbursts and won't participate, won't eat, doesn't communicate with his key worker (3 days at this setting)
Setting 2 - mild behaviour, however not disruptive, self regulates it more with his key workers (2 days at this setting)

The only thing I can see is the break down in the communication with their key worker. This maybe because the childcare has grown bigger in the last 6months, however my child has been at this nursery for 2+ years. Setting 2 he has been at for 18months.

Before I move them has anyone else had such extreme behaviour at different setting with the same child? (Teacher or Parent please) Happy for strategies to trial....

I think it's fairly normal for children who maybe struggle with their behaviour/learning/social skills to thrive in one environment more than another.

It could just be down to a personality clash with the key worker/staff at the first nursery. Or maybe it's bigger/noisier, maybe a different mix of children, it could even be a sensory issue like the lights are brighter/room more echoey/not enough natural light etc.

It clearly doesn't suit him so I would just move him asap.
