Do you think these marks are just from wear & might wash out?

I really need a warmer coat for outdoors at work (nursery TA) & have been looking at this one on Vinted.

I think these marks are just from wear & it should wash up ok. I just wondered what someone else thought really...

Fairy liquid

It looks like it smells of the bin outside a chippy. If it was £1 at a jumble sale, it would probably be worth a gamble.

It’s really badly stained and dirty and no wet worth £9.

That looks shiny and greasy from heavy wear and those sorts of marks don't wash out well, the shininess and dark patches will still be there afterwards. Can't believe they didn't wash it before listing it!

Ohyesiam

All the seller to launder it with Ariel? Point out it’s unlikely to sell like that but if it comes up ok you’ll have it.

This a good idea. What’s to lose?

lucysmam · 29/01/2022 21:31

Ok, that one's a definite no then. I'll keep looking for now & layer up!

There are loads of similar coats on Vinted, what size are you.

Tigerteafor3 · 30/01/2022 11:45

Got to a supermarket and buy one there!

Sloughsabigplace · 30/01/2022 11:50

Jesus, who would put something up for sale.

Charity shop - I bought a lovely warm coat for £10 just before christmas which was clean.

Supermarkets are also really good value for basic coats too.

Sloughsabigplace · 30/01/2022 11:51

*something that filthy up for sale

Mamette · 30/01/2022 11:56

I think it would be a false economy @lucysmam because it won’t last even if you could get it clean. I agree with pps who said charity shop or Primark and then you could get one to last you through next year too.

lucysmam · 30/01/2022 12:01

@MayThePawsBeWithYou 8-10 usually.

I only looked yesterday because a friend uses it loads. I found a smart coat for £4 & a top for work for £3 that I did buy so thought I'd look for a coat for work too.

I'll keep looking. My current one will do for the rest of this winter.
