Hi, does anyone have a problem with the shape of V/A that are supplied with prescription lubricants? Are they designed by the MARQUIS DE SADE ? if a man has designed them then maybe he should try it himself, if it’s a women then she needs to re-think,

Vaginal applicator's what?

Markpip · 23/01/2022 19:20

Hi, an applicator is a plastic device that enables you to transfer a medicine to where it’s needed, think icing bag, put icing in a bag then squeeze it on a cake , real easy, it’s the right shape ( a bit messy) but does the job, a vaginal applicator basically does the same job , fill it up from a tube of lubricant then squeeze it in to the said place, but if the end of the applicator is badly designed then it causes extreme discomfort in an area that is already VERY sensitive,

I think you are inserting it too far if it’s irritating your cervix. Try aiming a little lower and further back.

Hi, thank you for replying, have you seen the actual end shape of the applicator? Just half an inch in with the outside of the applicator lubricated is painful and has cut me,, it’s the wrong shape,

Buy a different one. There are plenty on the market and most have smooth tips with nothing to cut.

Jojobees · 23/01/2022 19:43

There’s nothing to cut you here.

Hi, my husband saw what the problem was straight away. He ordered a pack of 5 slim cigar shaped plastic tubes ( £2-60) they came next day , he measured cut , drilled and smoothed where needed, I tried it and it’s so much better, he needs to fiddle a bit to make it perfect, if he can come up with that why can’t the manufacturer? Thanks again for your insight PS. I’m sure I’m not the only person to find a problem with the supplied applicator, xx

I've been nipped by (tampax, always tamoxifen) applicators before. Evil bastards.

I'm a moon cup girl now

givemepiece · 23/01/2022 21:01

Tamoxifen?! Sorry strange autocorrect

Hi , I think the point of this thread is that women will put up with nearly everything, someone posted that there are applicator’s that you can buy, but why should you? If drugs companies can spend thousands of pounds developing a real good product then you may think that they’d like to think there product could be administered in a comfortable way, if your new gas cookers clicker doesn’t work should you go and by a clicker and a can of gas ? Thanks for your comment, women should not have to put up with Shoddy goods,

It sounds quite frightening. The only applicator I have ever used (when I was young), is a Tampax one and that was cardboard, quite easy really.

You are one brave girl.

Markpip · 23/01/2022 21:58

Hi, not brave, it’s a basic design fault, no big deal which can be easily rectified , I’m quite surprised other woman have not had the same problem,
