Oh dear, I seem to have consigned my son (15) to a life of poverty and crime because

I made him come downstairs and put his breakfast things in the dishwasher (having already asked him twice).

Apparently, I disturbed him in middle of his biology revision and now he will fail this test which will mean he won't get his gcse (which he is due to take in 2023) so he won't get ANY qualifications and so won't get a job and will have revert to a life of crime.

I'm thinking suggesting that the 2 hours he spent playing on the x-box this morning could have been used more productively, probably didn't help the situation Grin

Anyone else destroyed their teenager's life recently?

Obviously lighthearted!!

I make my DS unload the dishwasher every day. This interferes with homework / 'pickaxing noobs' on Fortnite / planning for world domination and other such important activities.

I made mine shower. Iv ruined his fifa team and no one will ever play with him again

Revert to a life a crime? So he's already abandoned the criminal life once and you are knocking him off course?

Shocking Grin

Love this Grin … On the plus side he might have a career in the theatre with his dramatic skills!

... my DS gets frost bite on the rare occasion he has a shower & washes his hair!
I can't wait for the summer

I remember once we were in Disney World (Magic Kingdom).

We popped into the shop near the entrance as I needed to purchase a sun hat for my son, who was about 9 at the time.

My son however wanted a toy gun. And kept nagging for it.

I said no, as I didn’t want to end up carrying it about and also it was around $20 for rubbish plastic.

My son ran out of the store yelling and crying and as he ran towards Cinderella’s castle in floods of tears, you could hear him screaming “you are the WORST parents in the world! You’ve ruined my life”.

When I look back, it’s one of my favourite memories…so funny.

DS is younger but is very cross with me for the crimes of making him clean his teeth AND get dressed. He's let his Fortnite duo partner down being away all of 5 minutes, no one will want to play with him again and his life is all the worse for it, apparently.
