Would you apply for multiple jobs for the same employer? (School)

Would you apply for multiple jobs at one employer in less than a year?

Last May I applied and was shortlisted as one of 3 applicants for a p/t role. I didn’t get the job but my feedback was all very good, no negative or constructive feedback at all. They said I was close to getting the role but the person who got it had the edge with more specific experience.

September - I applied but didn’t get an interview for a different role. Also p/t.

Now in January - I have seen another role which I would like to apply for but it’s full-time.

Thing is - is this ok or will I look desperate and ridiculous? All three are different types of school admin roles. The school is very large and has a lot of staff but will HR think I am just applying for anything and everything etc?

I want an admin role as it’s my background, and these roles ask for people with admin backgrounds as the transferable skills. Each role has been different and seems interesting in its own right - there has also been admin roles come up at this school that have not interested me at all.

I would give it a go and see what happens. Third time lucky?

I worked at a large school and it was quite common that a job went to a previously unsuccessful candidate.

It definitely won't count against you.

It just shows you really want to work for them.
Your answer to that common opening interview question, 'Why do you want to work at this school?' begins,
'Well, you can see how much I want to work here because this is third job I have applied for in X years...'
