low plastic party bags

Does anyone have any ideas for some low plastic party bags. I have about 30 to make up. So far we have some wildflower seeds to put in. I have been trying to find some low packaging chocolates or sweets I could use, but it looks like it is going to cost a fortune.

Pencils from either Poundland or primark?

If you not bought anything yet. Get three ten packs of books and give one of those out!

Could you use paper bags instead?

Buy or make cookies or biscuits and wrap in paper tied up with yarn?

I used recyclable paper bags for DS2's 8th birthday party a couple of months ago. Inside we put cake wrapped in a napkin, a horrible science book (got a box of 20 on world of books for £5), a bookmark and a big sticker. Oh and sweets which is all they really wanted!

Paper bags. Foil and paper wrapped chocolates. The works do ten kids books for £10. Love the idea of seeds, what about those compressed little coir disks and some mini coir plant pots? Cress seeds and a printed instruction to make cress egg heads. Origami instructions? A note pad and pencils? B and m do packets of twenty pencils with erasers on top.

I did the books one year and they were a big hit with kids and parents alike . The Works do great deals

Book each for £1 from the works and a paper bag or sweets each from the local zero waste shop. Failing that, you can buy biodegradable cellophane bags and pop a biscuit or cake in each.

I did temporary tattoos for DD’s birthday, I got some really cheap from Rex London and cut them up into little bundles to go in the bag (they only need a couple). And then some sweets etc

Thanks everyone, I think I will go with the seeds, some books and some slow cooker fudge with a slice of birthday cake. All in paper bags.

We have received a book before instead of a party bag, usually with a bag of sweets taped to it.

I have less bags to do but I am putting in a tube of smarties - you can get 4 for a £1 and the packaging is all recyclable nowadays, It initially seems pricier but a tube of smarties is substantial enough for it to be given on its own. (I'm also adding in a bath bomb and a cupcake)

OP I know you are sorted but in the past I have also done small notebooks (poundland), lip balms, lego figures - fair enough they are plastic but it is avoiding the tat that just ends up in the bin after five minutes.

I wrapped a book for each child in brown paper and tied with string for my daughters party!

Depending on age, homemade playdough scented with lavender oil etc.

Also cardboard masks in different themes for diy colouring.

Poundland do packs of wooden keyrings for kids to decorate.

Homemade wax crayons made out of broken crayons melted down in moulds.

DIY bracelet kits with wooden beads and embroidery cotton.
