DD (who is now 16) was given tickets for a concert by a famous act for Christmas 2019. The concert should have taken place in April 2020,
obviously did not go ahead.
Concert was rescheduled for around March/April 2021, again did not go ahead.
We were offered a refund, or were told that we could hold on to the tickets and DD could use them when the concert was finally rearranged, which we did. So today the act announces a major new tour and they are coming back to our city in June 2022. Hooray!
But. They have "scaled up" their venue from an (admittedly large) indoor venue to a stadium. DD's ticket not valid. The promotor is now going to refund her original ticket, and "allow" us to book tickets for the rearranged gig at the new venue on an early bird offer.
All fine. Except the new tickets for the rearranged gig are more expensive. So the promoter has had our money for over 2 years and are now wanting more money?
Bit of a shit way to treat teenage fans, isn't it?
