Anyone good at DIY about?

The space for my washing machine is too big so on a fast spin, the machine jiggles itself about. There isn't really room to put in a proper unit divider (there's a small space I can use for a pull out trolley if I do know this way) but I was thinking of getting some L brackets and a piece of ply to make a sort of wall to reduce the space. I'm not great at DIY but I'm pretty sure I could manage this...if it would work.

Are you hoping the "divider" will stop your washing machine moving?

I think you'd be better off getting an anti vibration matt/ shock absorber type thing to go underneath it.

Your washing machine shouldn't need walls around it to stop it moving tbh.

Buy some anti vibration rubber feet or a mat for the washing machine.

Check the feet are balanced. I thought mine were but I adjusted it whilst it was spinning and it’s stopped it moving.

A divider won’t stop it moving, it’ll just bang against it.

Yes, if it's moving it means it's not balanced properly. You should be able to screw the legs up/down until it's level (a spirit level should help so long as your floor is level - there's a spirit level app on iPhone).

Excellent, thank you all, I'll look at the feet. I didn't even think of that. The floor was leveled at the when it was moved so it is probably unbalanced

One foot needed to be adjusted and now it's fixed. I'm worryingly delighted Grin
