Birthday party bags

So far I’ve just not done them and no one has said anything but my ds is 4 this weekend and he is asking what presents we are giving all his friends, as if paying for them all to have a few hrs softplay and lunch isn’t enough Hmm

Any cheap, easy, low waste, low plastic ideas?
That I can get easily off Amazon or from the supermarket?

Party will be 3/4 year olds and some 1 year olds

Thank you wise mumsnetters!

Plant bulbs wrapped in some tissue paper with a 'thank you for coming' paper tag on string.

As in one bulb per child.
If you don't do party bags, parents will understand why you've chosen not to participate.

I was going to suggest sunflower seeds, similar to PP idea.

Tesco do a good party bag selection including a little story book which is £1 for 4 books.

All done, thank you for suggestions!

I’ve gone for a pack of coloured paper bags, a bar of kinder chocolate each, mini envelopes and a big bag of sunflower seeds to put in the envelopes.

All done for around 50p per bag. I’m just going to print a sunflower picture onto sticker paper I’ve already got!

Marvellous!

I bought a bamboo cup (currently on sale for 50p each with Rex London ) and a sachet of hot chocolate
