Disney Paris - food package for 3yr old

We're booked for Disneyland Paris in March, when DS is just 3yr (were meant to be going in Jan when he'd still be 2yr, but had to move because of the French restrictions).

As food is so pricey there, the food package seems worth it for DH and I - but even paying the child's rate for DS seems crazy when a month earlier he'd be free.

Does anyone know if it's possible to just do the food package for x2 adults and then we can pay for DS at the restaurant, so he might just have an appetiser and a bit off our plates?

We did the food package for breakfast only but all it means is you waste previous morning time going to Disneyland because you're having breakfast.
So for the next visit we went to the shop in the train station next to the entrance of Disneyland where they sell lovely croissants and pastries and baguettes etc so much nicer and cheaper in the long run

Also age 3 is young they get very tired. My DC have no recollection of their visit at that age and it was stressful queuing for ages in the heat.

It was much better when they were older and tall enough to go on rides

Yes you can have a non food plan child at the table with 2 food plan adults but be warned, if you choose any buffet places, everyone is chargeable at the table so you would pay 24 euro for his buffet breakfast. Similar on top for lunch

So it means to reduce excess costs you are restricted to plated restaurants rather than buffets

Well that's not super helpful, when I've said it's booked already. And in March, so not exactly worried about it being hot (or nearly as crowded mid-week not in school holidays)

But thank you for the tip about breakfast from the shop by the entrance

We took dd when she was 2 and she loved it! Just magical seeing her little face and she danced when she saw Mickey Mouse( terrified of the big Goofy tho'!) She slept in her pushchair when tired and she ate bits of our food and we went to the shop for croissants, drinks etc like pp said. Smile

We took my kids when youngest was 2. I’d massively recommend getting a bike lock for your buggy, means you can just lock it up to one of the many railing and let them toddle around for a bit too! I’d say the Disney studios is better for that age with the toy story land and lightening McQueen stuff.

We did Bed and Breakfast and took lots of snacks to the park. The bbq cook out hut was great for us as kids had chips, corn etc to keep them going too! Also loved the rainforest cafe.

There’s also a McDonalds which is a nice treat for lunch. You can eat reasonably without the meal plans too.
