Anyone had any success with anti snoring nose clips?

And if so, which ones?

Im the snorer. It doesn't bother my husband but my friends say its awful and noone sleeps when I'm there. 2 different groups of friends i go away with and both groups moan and talk about it constantly. I know its because they can't sleep.
I find it humiliating and awkward. I haven't tried any devices yet. Looking at some good reviews on nasal clips??

Id like replies about devices only.

I know how debilitating it is. Im aware I can go GP but want to try a device first. Thanks.

I snore too! I've tried the sticky strips and they work for a few days then my snore seems to escape again. I have allergies which doesn't help, so will have a few days on nasal sprays to subdue it but you can't use those all the time.
Watching with interest to see if there's any other advice out there.

I recently found some exercises on YouTube. It's too early to say how effective they are.

Have you looked at changing your sleeping position and tried anti snore pillows?

I too want to try something as my snoring only started a few years ago but really bothers my husband.I don't really want to talk to my GP. Whats the point? My husband used to snore really badly. Didn't bother me. GP sent him to hospital for loads of appointments, loads of tests, they said sleep apnea, but he hated the mask and couldn't get on with it. Then his stopped anyway. Even if I did have apnea I doubt I'd want a mask. I do feel sorry for my husband though and feel I ought to do something.

I went to a lecture on chronic snoring years ago. The doctor giving the lecture said very bluntly that 90% of snoring is cured by loosing weight and quitting smoking if you smoke. But sadly none of their patients would be prepared to loose weight or quit smoking.
Surgical techniques can be done. Small surgical grade 'pipe cleaners' would be put under the skin at the back of the throat to stop it collapsing when asleep. But even this was not 100% and some people still snored afterwards.
Take home message is, loose weight if you need to and quit the cigs if you smoke first of all. He added that patients of his rarely did anything to help themselves, he jokingly added a good cure was separate beds in separate rooms.

I think that might help me to be honest! I'm slightly heavier than I used to be...

Following.
Although, as a PP said, for me it's 100% weight. I only snore when I'm over my comfortable weight. I know what to do to stop it... sigh.
