Preferred time for child's party?

Hi MN,

My child wants a birthday party this year with primary aged school friends. I'm just trying to gauge whether to hold it on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon! My daughter normally has hobbies she does on Saturday, so I initially thought Sunday, but is that inconvenient?

Which day/time would you prefer? I realise everyone has different schedules and you can't suit everyone!

Thanks Smile

I like an afternoon party. Sunday afternoon is absolutely fine. How much prep is needed for a primary school child?

DS1 had a party today 11-1 and it was perfect. An hour of madness and then they ate, did the cake/singing, a few quieter games and then finished.

One of the worst was 9-11, they were having hot dogs at 10 and some of the children weren't hungry enough but then ravenous by dinner time

I love Sunday morning parties. I find most children have some type of activity on Saturday

I don't really mind... actually had a really good one 9.30-11.30 on a Sunday morning at a soft play, they ate at 11am, so lunch was sorted and were knackered for the rest of the day, so we had a lovely chilled afternoon!

Either day is fine by me…..but definitely 11-1 for the time.
