Just looking for tips/ideas from other parents...
DS (5) and I both tested positive on Tuesday(I’m a LP and should be wfh FT... have taken leave of absence until Monday at least, as just too unwell to work...) DS back fighting fit but I’m still really quite unwell. Thought today was looking better but hoovering the living room triggered a fever spike and back to feeling like I’ve been run over...
DS going through a phase of absolutely 0 listening anyway and is ofc bored out of his mind... I’m running on fumes- both in terms of energy and patience ... how many times can you say “don’t jump on the sofa” before you go mad?!
Anyway- whinging done- I’m looking for ideas for activities/games/ occupying tasks that DS can do which require minimal exertion from me. Things we do at lot anyway, covid or no covid ...
- lego
- board games
- puzzles
- drawing
- collages
- reading together
- TV. Far too much tv
- dance parties (him not me ATM)
- googling facts about animals/ watching nature or science clips/ watching films about den building and bushcraft
- planning our summer camping holiday
- long baths with toys etc
Any ideas? Preferably that won’t make huge amounts of mess, since it turns out hoovering is now an Olympic sport level of exertion....
