Children parties - best and worst ideas for 7yo

Could I please have ideas for the best party ideas to suit a boy turning 7? Preferably ones that don’t cost a small fortune, and I cannot use my home as a base either.

I’m waiting to hear back from various companies that do science/experiments demos and games, animal rangers (both farm/exotic), a den building/campfire, and arts & crafts (the latter probably not so keen on).

What type of party is best avoided for being a bit boring etc? I’d prefer to avoid soft play and trampoline parks if possible as we have done these already in the past.

Avoid swimming parties. Parents will have to get in and they'll hate you.

We've done some fab parties:
One was at a local Forest School - they did fire-lighting, a scavenger hunt, & general muddy play.
Another was at a local Railway attraction, they got rides on the trains & free run of the place which had outdoor play areas, crazy golf, & soft play.
We've done a local village hall with a bouncy castle hired in.
We've also done trampolines & soft play.
I'd love to do a science one next.

my just turned 7 year old had a couple of friends over for lego and gaming and then tea and a pinata yesterday - that went down really well. we are doing trampolining and pizza tomorrow with 2 friends also. i think they dont need something big at that age.

Leave it to the proffessionals was someones advice to me , I listened and we had DNA do our party, Stress free and happy kids in the village hall! We had nothing to do and the entertainers and disco did all the hard work, and they do all sorts of different parties for different ages and interests well worth a look OP,

Village hall + bouncy castle (with slide, to keep them moving through it and not just bouncing up and down crashing into each other) and a craft table or two with bits from Baker Ross = excellent party.

Forest school party can be awesome if weather is good but if it rains it sucks.

I’d say they are too young for nerf gun party, they’ll forget they aren’t allowed to shoot each other in the head etc.

Round here there are a lot of ‘sport’ entertainers eg football party, athletics party etc. Most of them are lame ie just a PE lesson but some of them are epic.
