So i want to book somewhere in Leeds at half term 2 nights. We've got 2 kids, 7 and 10 so got to be family friendly. Pretty central be great. Any ideas?

I stayed at one, think it was The Bewley. Really nice and central and would suit your budget.

Roomz is central and has apartment with separate bedrooms so no camping out in the dark if the kids go to bed before you. The downside is they only do a basic continental breakfast but you have a kitchenette so can buy supplies in (which can also save on eating out) www.roomzzz.com/aparthotels/leeds-city
The Novotel isn't far from the station and was nice but looking at the room descriptions the kids might have to share a sofa bed.
Premier Inn is usually a good call with families but the rooms can be cramped with 2 pull out beds.
Jury's Inn was fine and there's a Mariott which is quite central, I haven't stayed in it but they're usually reliable.
Do you need parking as that might determine where you pick and rates can vary drastically depending on what's on in the city.

@emmathedilemma can drive or get train so whatever is easiest. Will look at roomz. Thanks! My friend recommended staying near brudenell but I can't see any hotels?!?! We could do an airbnb too...

I don't know Brudenell I'm afraid, I used to stay for work so picked places that I could to the office from! It looks pretty suburban though. If you're going to do tourist stuff I think you want to be within the area between the river and the A58/64(M).

Premier inns would be ideal. There's one on wellington street and one up near Leeds arena. The arena one is slightly more accessible but both are okay and both have parking.

I'd say they're a 15-20 minute walk from the train station but there is a taxi rank outside the station if you decided to do that instead.

The radisson is also in budget surprisingly and really central. 5-10 minutes walk from the train station. It doesn't have its own parking, you'd need to park at the light which is £16 for 24 hours. You get a discount with it. The inside of the radisson is within the light and there's a fair few restaurants in there and it's very near to shops.

There's also the Hilton that comes in just under budget and that does have its own parking and a swimming pool on site: it's the other wise of the train station from the others but only 5 minutes walk still.

Do you need any ideas of things to do?

It's not a big city so won't take too long!

Leeds city museum and royal armouries are both good for a couple of hours wander round and might have activities on for half term.

There's an escape room, cinema and indoor crazy golf in the light as well as a few restaurants.

If you fancy an afternoon tea, Just Grand, Radisson and Hilton hotel all do nice ones.

There's the usual high street shops, Victoria quarter is all designer ones and there's a John Lewis at the bottom of the headrow.

Further out, on kirkstall road, there's bowling, cinema and restaurants.

Out of town, Roundhay park is lovely to walk around and has a good playground, as is temple newsam that also has go ape as well.
