Neom vs Oliver Bonas diffuser

Hi, I’ve recently received a gift voucher and was thinking of getting the Neom diffuser. I would have to put some money towards it, so I’m not sure whether to the the OB one instead which is cheaper.
Is there any difference between diffusers really? Or am I paying for the name? Smile

Neither!

I didn’t want a plug in diffuser that is effectively putting moisture/damp into our home.

I used to like the wax melts/tarts that Yankee Candles made but they went downhill and the fragrances are not the same.

I like the fragrance oils that you add to water in the tart burners but you have to remember to top up with water.

So I came up with the idea of using a wax met in the burners that I have and when the fragrance was exhausted instead of removing the wax I have left it in and add drops of oil which when the wax melts from the tea light in the burner, gives off a lovely fragrance.

This works well for our home but of course if you don’t want tea lights burning then a plug in diffuser is your option.

I am very wary, having splashed out on a lovely Jo Malone diffuser only for them to discontinue it so I couldn't get any more refills!

I use reed diffusers now, cheaper ones for loos and bathroom, more pricey for bedroom and living room. You can adjust the strength of the fragrance according to how many reeds you use.

I got neom one as a present..I love it! Much better than any Reed diffuser I have owned or even the ones that use night lights

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 10/01/2022 16:54

They both perform the same function, puffing out scented vapour so I can't see that the Neom one does anything that warrants the extra ££. The Oliver Bonas ones are lovely.

I have the Neom one and would say it isn't any better than the cheaper versions. It looks pretty, but I'd recommend spending the extra money on Neom oils rather than the diffuser itself.

The white company oils are lovely - well, worth the extra cost..Seychelles is just awesome !

I’ve got an Aromatherapy Associates one which is expensive but rechargeable which I think is really worth it.

I’m a big devotee of Neom, first bought their candles years ago and have had the diffuser for a few years too. I’d say it’s worth it just because it’s had no problems, I imagine cheaper ones wouldn’t last as long, whenever I go to our local TK Maxx there always seem to be recall notices on the door for diffusers. Have to disagree about the White Company oils though, they have all without fail given me a cracking headache, I’m absolutely fine with their candles, but they’re fragrance oils rather than essential oils so must have something in the formulation which doesn’t agree with me.

Neom customer service is pretty poor

Solsquid · 10/01/2022 20:56

Thank you for all the replies.
Oh that’s a shame, I’ve read the customer service is poor on a few of the reviews. Perhaps it would be safer to purchase through John Lewis in case anything happened to it then.
Maybe il just get the Oliver bonas one, there’s £5 off first orders too, making it much more reasonable than neom
