Can Anyone recommend a Soluble Fibre to Help Reduce Appetite?

I will be taking that alongside high protein, low sugar and increased exercise, but I really need to curb my appetite!! The work that I do involves being in a small space with another person on a 1 to 1 basis, and my stomach goes crazy!! Trying to supress this is what's made me put on weight these past couple of years!! Oh and the menopause. And eating too much chocolate. And not exercising.

Vegetables. Especially green leafy types, raw or cooked.

The driver of hunger is low blood sugar. If you stay away from carbs for long enough, this goes away as for every spike in sugar, you get a concomitant low and it's this low that drives your appetite.

The longer you are off carbs the more the hunger goes away because you become fat adapted.

I often go for pickles as snacks. (Not onions - things like gherkins, cornichons, beetroot, peppers).

Me too, and I drink the vinegar from the jar. Great for suppressing appetite

Not as healthy as previous suggestions but I use these:

www.amazon.co.uk/Skinny-Sprinkles-Appetite-Suppressant-Servings/dp/B074M8NXN4/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=skinny+sprinkles&sprefix=skinny+sprink%2Caps%2C86&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1641717548&sr=8-2

They help keep me relatively regular when low carbing too.

Thank you everyone.
@BlackAndPinkNose I actually was after recommendations of that type, the ones you can take in a capsule, not the healthy ones that involve effort in shopping and preparation Grin.
But thank you everyone and please keep the suggestions coming.
A question about gherkins and cornichons. I absolutely love them and can eat whole jars in one go, but isn't the brine full of sugar?

Honestly, low carbing is the best thing for reducing appetite.

This!

And if you want something fibrous to fill you up, psyllium husk does the job. You can buy it at Holland and Barretts. You dissolve it in water and drink. Keeps you regular and fills you up. Tastes rank though

Look up konjac also known as glucomannan
I get capsules from myprotein.
Soluble fibre and it REALLY fills me up.
If you order please use my referral code!!

Re: jars of pickles. The ones I buy all have a brine that's made of water, vinegar, salt and sometimes mustard seeds / spices / chillies, but no sugar. And they're just regular jars from Lidl, Asda etc. I also buy jars of olives to eat as snacks, mini packs of raisins (the 14g ones) and occasionally some red grapes.

The vinegar in pickle brine is supposedly good for regulating blood sugars, and sauerkraut and kimchi are good for the gut biome.

I'm glad there are others sharing the pickle-love Smile
