I am so bored. Help!

Yesterday morning I tested positive on a lft and did a pcr (self employed and need PCR results to claim any grants in my area). Still waiting for the PCR results so am obviously isolating. I am also keeping away from the rest of the family isolating in my bedroom.

Today i have -

read a novel
watched 2.5 harry potter films
watched an episode of discovery of witches
tidied the bookshelf
tidied out my jewellery box and detangled 3 necklaces
sorted my face stuff bag (got lots of Lovely products for Christmas)
tidied out my nail varnish and makeup drawers
cleaned the bathroom
tidied the bathroom cabinet
crocheted 1/3rd of a blanket
had a little nap

Tomorrow i will sort the bedding and towels out, bagging some to go to the animal shelter
tidy the pile of doom
sort out clothes
a bit of ironing
read some more
do a bit of crochet

I dont sleep to well at the best of times but without my 3 dog walks a day i really struggle. Which means more hours to fill.

I feel pretty fine, a bit tired (run down tired not sleep tired) and my chest is tightish (asthmatic) but otherwise fine.

Please suggest something I can do. Next week when DD is at school (didn't want to send her but school are insistent hence my hiding in my bedroom) I have some painting around the house to get in with and more corners of doom to tidy but i need other suggestions. Just had 2 weeks off work so I did lots of relaxing then (usually with a Bailey's and Christmas chocolate) and it is now dry January and even my secret stash of goodies is running low.

Help!

Should add, i was quite poorly yesterday, slept most of it which means I've been awake since 5:30. And my dog isn't speaking to me because her dad is doing the walks not me and that is just UNACCEPTABLE.

Sorry to hear this! Yoga? Yoga with Adriene (free on YouTube) is a great start.

Do you like to read/need book recommendations?

Sorting out photos on your phone/making photo books (I never get round to this).

bearlyactive · 09/01/2022 09:59

If you have them, clearing out the bookmarks on your phone/tablet. I have a bunch of irrelevant ones that I bookmarked ages ago and it was interesting to go through them and un-bookmark them and see what i was interested in months/years ago.

Create a meal plan/shopping list/both.

Sort out underwear drawers (sorry, but it's something I need to do too Blush)

Find a new series on BBC iPlayer - I recommend Gentleman Jack, if you're interested in history. GJ will be 8hrs of your time!

I'll think of more, I'm sure!

Write to close friends. Everyone loves to receive a letter!

Thanks for these. I have a fully sticked kindle and have sorted my emails this afternoon.

Tomorrow the kitchen and playroom are being deep cleaned and reorgaised.

Funnily enough my positive result came as I was doing yoga this morning!

Are there any free online courses you could do? Either for work or just for interest. I find futurelearn.com a good source but there are plenty of others.

There might be one in laying patios... Grin

I presume you don't want to hear this but it might be a good option to rest as proper rest aids recovery and they think helps to prevent lingering covid symptoms.
