Would you feed it to the birds?

No

Ragwort · 08/01/2022 20:55

I'd eat it myself ....

Eileen101 · 08/01/2022 20:56

I'd be using it for my own breakfasts 🤷🏼‍♀️

LaBelleSausage · 08/01/2022 20:56

Surely that's a best before not a use by.

I would eat

TambourineTimesThree · 08/01/2022 20:56

I'd use it myself

I'd eat it myself.

stinkycheeseman · 08/01/2022 20:59

I'm not shy about out of date food, but if I haven't eaten it in two years 🤷‍♀️

I’d have a nibble and use it myself. If it’s properly dried out and beyond being soaked in tea for baking then I’d probably bin it.

cloudtree · 08/01/2022 21:01

It will be fine for either you or the birds

stinkycheeseman · 08/01/2022 21:05

Can I give it to the birds? I won't do it all in one go, but over the rest of the winter. Only in my garden so no dogs.

LavenderAskew · 08/01/2022 21:13

Yes you can.

knobblykneesandturnedouttoes · 08/01/2022 21:14

Yes I would definitely feed to birds but if it tastes ok then it's safe anyway

AudTheDeepAndCrispAndEven · 08/01/2022 21:40

I'd use it to make a boiled fruit cake.

Postdatedpandemic · 08/01/2022 21:45

Simmer it in tea and whiskey and make Christmas cake. Cheer up March.

RedskyThisNight · 08/01/2022 21:48

I'm actually always doing this. No idea why dried fruit gets lost in the cupboard. Never had any ill effects from eating it. I've just finished a bag that was best before August 2020.
