Whole class parties some where? Or at home party?

Dc1 had soft play. Dc2 had only just started reception so we didn’t want to invite the whole class - we had about 10 friends at home and a bouncy castle in the garden. My niece will be 5 in June. She wants a slip and slide party in the garden. Her mother wants a teddy bears’ picnic in the local park.

He is not my child so for my own i had whole class parties in a hall with an entertainer at that age but i dont want the hassle of making sandwiches for this one.

Both sound lovely but I dont want to risk the weather being in a rainy part of the country Grin

All 3 of my kids have had up to 10 friends at home for a traditional party at that age (their choice, they find big parties overwhelming). But the norm here is for a whole class party of some description at that age. Usually in a hall with a bouncy castle or entertainer

Trampoline park (local one near us provided food and party bags)

Party at home but not over a meal time, say 1-3

Soft play

Cinema? My eldest is 6 and still hasn’t been to cinema so might be too young

Local park or woodlands - picnic and sports day type games - went to a couple of these over covid and they were so fun! Obviously more of a spring summer thing.

Swimming party
Bowling party
Trampoline park / inflatable park
Depending on the time of year you could do a farm visit with the animal experiences.

I had a browse this afternoon of the suggestions and soft play in a nearby city was much cheaper than I thought it would be, with kids fed, entertained with games, soft play and a party bag was £11.99 per child. Much cheaper than I thought it would be and that sounds hassle free.

Think we have a winner.
