I sold my old iPad at the beginning of this week. It was listed with its age, spec, lots of pictures etc. it was priced slightly low as I wanted rid quickly.
A lady messaged and asked some questions. Asked if it worked and I said yes. She decided to buy it and I took it to her house as she doesn’t drive. I handed it over and offered to give a quick demo, which she declined. I turned it on and showed her it worked and she said, that’s great, I’ll get my son to set it up.
It was in good working order when I handed it over.
The last two days she has messaged saying the volume buttons aren’t working. Now I know they do as it was in use the week before I sold it (had a new one for Christmas). I sent her a couple of links to YouTube videos of what to do if the volume buttons don’t work. She replied, she didn’t understand them (I don’t think English is her first language). I then sent another video that was a bit less techy and suggested she try that. Came back again saying she couldn’t get it to work and could I come over and show her how to do it.
Now I know it was working when I delivered it and I offered her a demo which she declined. I’m not bloody Curry’s knowhow. I don’t offer a service to return to show her how to turn the volume up or down in the settings.
She’s just messaged again asking if I can show her how to put her photos onto it from her phone when I got round!
Is it ok to block her? I sold her a working product at a very cheap price. She declined a quick demo and is now bothering me with questions. I’d feel bad doing it, but I’ve upheld my side of the bargain.
She is a 20 minute drive from me in a not particularly nice area. I absolutely would not go back there on my own and feel I should just block her and let her work out how to use it as it’s not broken?
Happy to hear I’m awful and should help her but equally would just like to get on with my life.
