Where can I buy frozen chicken burgers made from real chicken breast, not reformed?

Just that really, trying to find something for a fussy eater!

M and s but they are fresh not frozen so you’d need to do that

Chishnfips · 07/01/2022 13:33

Aldi does chicken thigh burgers of whole pieces with a few different flavour breadcrumbs. The spicy ones are really spicy.

Juniper68 · 07/01/2022 13:35

Have you tried making them? Pretty easy.

You could cut a chicken breast in half, grill that and use that as a burger.

If it needs to be breaded, then flour/egg/breadcrumb it and deep fry it or buy frozen breaded chicken breasts.

Would they eat a burger made of chicken mince?

dementedpixie · 07/01/2022 13:36

Is it breaded or plain you want?
If breaded look for chicken fillet burgers
Think Heck does chilled unbreaded chicken burgers

DroopyClematis · 07/01/2022 13:59

Maybe buy some from the chilled range and then freeze them. Tesco always has them.

I don't have an answer, but I guess the key difference between buying fresh and freezing and buying frozen is that the frozen ones cook straight from the freezer and fresh would need to be defrosted?

Typing that out, I'm not sure why it would be the case, but I know I wouldn't cook a fresh, frozen by me, chicken piece straight from the freezer.

Maybe it's because the frozen ones are chilled down to their frozen state v quickly, therefore stopping the bacteria multiplying much faster?

NoSquirrels · 07/01/2022 14:02

What’s the nature of the fussy - breaded/in breaded, need to be a particular shape etc?

fruitpastille · 07/01/2022 14:05

You could try a butchers? My local one does chicken nuggets which are just breadcrumbed pieces of breast. I know I could make them myself but they are less faff.

ReviewingTheSituation · 07/01/2022 14:13

how about these? The description talks about chicken breast fillet, whereas on the other BE chicken burgers it just says chicken breast

skippy67 · 07/01/2022 14:41

Iceland. The shop, not the country.

Magnited · 07/01/2022 15:02

McDonald's Chicken Selects.

Chicken mince should be relatively easy to find (could also do turkey). Then just make them. Takes like 5 minutes and they're much nicer.

sofakingcool · 07/01/2022 16:32

@ShmeevilWeevil

DOH burgers
Those are popular with my teenagers
birtwistler · 12/03/2024 12:31

I know I'm a bit late to the party with this one and I'm sure that there will be a fair amount of discord with this suggestion, but have you looked at Farmfoods? They sell quite a selection of whole chicken products, coated and uncoated and my kids love them (as do I). Farmfoods does sell some rubbish, including the reformed chicken rubbish, but there is some pretty good stuff there as well.

There are definitely fresh Tesco breaded chicken fillet things that can be cooked straight from frozen, because I've done it when the frozen ones have been out of stock.

Just checked their website, it's the breaded mini fillets. Not burger shaped though.
