Has anyone used packing cubes and do they actually make a difference?

I confess I was an unbeliever, but now I am a total convert. I like to pack groups of things into them - so knickers and socks/tights in one, sports kit in another etc, but also do my flight clothes (long haul, pre covid) all together in one so going back I have them all together to change into. I just have the Amazon basics ones and they work perfectly

Yes, yes, yes.
They make packing prep so quick, easy and stress free - one bag for each activity / function.

Easy to plan exactly what you need - and avoids taking too much and duplicates.

Also favour pre-packing other things with what you need at destination - rucksack, beach bag and so on, to just grab and go.

£1 Asda sandwich boxes - great for hand luggage for your cosmetics - just lift box out in the bathroom at your destination.

Similar tupperware box for bedside table - glasses, paracetamol, pen, charging cables and meds.

BodyButter containers repurposed to hold earbuds and other misc stuff.
Best I stop here….😬🤣

A definite yes.
Pack like things together on the way.
And (if not doing laundry while away) I separate worn from anything still unworn and clean when packing for home and then just bung the worn stuff in the wash straight away.
I also unpack by putting the cubes into the drawers when I get there and unzip them open without taking everything out, unless it needs hanging up.

Yes! Not so much for compressing things, but more from an organisational point of view.

Ziplock bags do me fine and not as bulky either. They compress when you get the air out of them too.

Small, medium and large, roll clothes of course. I keep the very big ones that some Amazon deliveries are in. Very strong too lol.

Cheapskate me!

Yes, I just used them for a long-haul flight, had a large suitcase then a small carry on. The large one was just over the weight limit and it was a breeze to just take out one of them and chuck it into the carry on.

Then on the other side I didn't have any storage at my destination, and as a PP mentioned I also packed knickers, leggings, dresses etc into their own cubes so I just left them as they were in the suitcase and selected from them every day.

Life changing! I have converted all my family. So much easier for kids too as they both have a bag each plus one for pants/socks/pjs
I have had a few types and found the ebags brand to be the best- the others tend to split if stuffed too full.

I’m a convert. They’re particularly good if you’re staying in more than one place, as you can just unpack and repack a cube at a time rather than doing the whole lot.
