Farty feet in sandals

Determined to have nice feet I can bare this summer rather than the cloven hooves I usually hide away. I bought a pair of fly London sandals on sale for a tenner. Love a bargain. But they are so noisy. Every other step one peels slightly off the underside of a foot with a not so gentle farting noise.

Surely there must be an easy way round this? Feet aren’t sweaty.

Talc?

Ooo, I get you. I was invigilating an exam hall full of students. I had to walk round. All you could here was these little squelches. So embarrassing.

I know it’s like gangsta granny powered along by a series of tiny trumps. I read on another thread a baby wipe on the sole helps. Cut to size I assume will give it a go and report back.

What do you mean cut to shape? In sandals? Do they not mean to wipe your feet with it (or the insole), dry and continue?

Coffee4Queen · 04/01/2022 09:18

Would a thin insole or foot cushion help. Like this?

PurplePansy05 · 04/01/2022 09:19

I'm just here to say this tends to happen with cheap shoes or with bargains too good to be true...I've been there, nothing to do with feet or sweating, the shoes were rubbish quality. Sorry OP, might not be what you want to hear after you've bagged a pair on sale Confused

Laska2Meryls · 04/01/2022 09:21

Fly London boots did the same to me, and I eventually ebayed them.. I think it's the way the footbed was formed ..

unidentia · 04/01/2022 09:21

Talc can help sometimes

MaitlandGirl · 04/01/2022 09:23

If there’s an outer covering on the footbed you can cut a couple of slashes in it and that helps stop the farty feet noises.

No they said they leave it and it stops the suction.

Probably quite right. I do have a couple of pairs of fly London boots which I got for cheap and they are so comfy and are wearing well a few months in. So I had high hopes for the sandals. I can always return them

CHEAP SHOES! How very dare you. I paid 9.99 for mine at Shoe Zone. 🧐 😄

Proves the point, I guess.

CaMePlaitPas · 04/01/2022 18:03

This happens to me with converse. My solution was to stop wearing converse, sorry OP.

Hmmhowhardtochooseaname · 04/01/2022 21:48

This happened to me with some very expensive sandals ... I stuck a fabric plaster inside to stop the suction between my foot and the sandal which was causing the farting noise
