Food that you don't buy anymore and why?

I've not bought spinach (eat other veg),Apples, baps/burger buns, hash browns, biscuits, cucumbers, croissants etc simply because we have alternatives and it just gets too much with waste, having too many options etc. Next step: to cook smaller portion sizes...

I've stopped buying energy drinks, fizzy drinks and squash/cordial just because of tooth decay.

Fresh vegetables for cooking. Switched to ready chopped frozen bags about a year ago and it works out so much easier and cheaper and with less waste, particularly since the majority of our meals are InstantPot soups, stews, curries etc where it really doesn’t make much difference.

I can’t buy cashew nuts, can’t have them in the house, I just Hoover them up within hours.

Do you individual bags like separate sweet corn, peas etc? Or do you buy the mixed bags?

Marshmallows - after coming horrifyingly close to death when I choked on one (unconscious, stopped breathing)... none of my family will ever eat one again!

Meat

Mainly the larger bags. Sainsbury’s do a vegetable base mix bag of finely chopped onion, celery and carrot which is the perfect base for pretty much any stew, ragu or soup. Things like frozen spinach, mushrooms and peppers have a high water content but can be defrosted and squeezed if you want them for recipes which don’t involve a lot of liquid.

I'm trying to work out what "etc" would be here. It is a pretty diverse bunch of items!

I've never really bought burger buns/biscuits/croissants regularly, only occasionally. I've never bought browns! Apples and cucumbers are every week. Spinach from time to time.

I buy very very little bread these days as DH makes it, but DS still likes some basic sliced for toasties. I've almost stopped buying flavoured yoghurt, ready made pasta sauces.

Basically anything containing sugar and/or remotely junk-y. Which was A LOT. The reason being that starting TTC turned me into a complete health freak.
