Job hunting

Have been with my current employer for 15 years. I enjoy my job but the staff turnover is high twelve people in the last 12 months and it takes the company around 2 months to replace a staff member so it makes the job more stressful.
The hours I work are ideal for childcare but in retail that can change anytime no hours are set.
I have seen a job advertised in my local hospital but part of me thinks am I going from one bad job to another with the NHS been so understaffed at the moment. Also I have heard that NHS can be bitchy (not sure if that is true).
I am the sort of person who goes to work to work, Im not very chatty will have a chat with my colleagues but like to be in the background which I am not sure how I would come across in a new job.

It would be very silly to write off an entire ginormous company like the NHS because it's 'bitchy'...

What makes the new job better? Hours? Pay? Commute?

Hours and commute would be the same, pay would be slightly less but could progress and be on a much better wage.

I have just handed in my notice at my current workplace with no other job to go to. I am applying to NHS jobs and have one interview lined up already. Even with NHS admin jobs you can work your way up, there are so many varied jobs. Plus the pension is decent.

I should also add I previously worked in the NHS for many years. Some wards were cliquey/ bitchy, others were lovely. It's so variable.
