I wouldn't be at all into that, but you do you. If you like Disney then go for it I guess.

Sn0tnose · 30/12/2021 18:41

Not my cup of tea, but it would be a very boring world if we all liked the same stuff.

Asda have loads of Disney homeware in at the moment.

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 30/12/2021 18:42

I have a plain white set that my mum gave me after the teens managed to break nearly every plate we owned Hmm

I would definitely buy a Disney set if I could afford one Grin

I think if you liked Disney and liked the monochrome set, then get it. Life is too short to buy plates you dont like because other people who wont use them might not like them.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 30/12/2021 18:44

Would it bring you a little bit of joy every time you got a piece out of the cupboard?
If so, buy it!

TopCatsTopHat · 30/12/2021 18:46

For a Disney fan that's great otherwise not so much. But isn't that obvious. If people know you love mickey mouse it will make perfect sense when they have dinner with you. 😊

TheHobbitMum · 30/12/2021 18:47

I have Harry Potter & NBC so go for it! If it makes you happy sod what anyone else thinks

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 30/12/2021 18:48

is it these ones?

If so they are nice, and the disney is v subtle.

MsMiaWallace · 30/12/2021 19:10

They were from Asda but they're nice !

I want some from Asda, they're super cute but we'd need two boxes and also have perfectly good ones as it is, so we decided not to.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 31/12/2021 19:27

Buy what you like. Exactly what you like.

People who worry what other people think will never be truly happy.

FionnulaTheCooler · 31/12/2021 19:30

I've got the Asda Mickey Mouse set and it's lasted really well, none of the design has come off in the dishwasher.

Snugglepumpkin · 31/12/2021 19:32

If you need it, you can afford it & it makes you happy I'd buy it.

I'd rather have something I use everyday that I enjoy then stick with something 'sensible' that does the exact same job but I don't care about.

BlueShirtGuy · 31/12/2021 19:39

I think everyone should have the things that they like. I don't understand why you wouldn't have them if you like them.

AnneLovesGilbert · 31/12/2021 20:00

Why not?! Ours is plain white, was a gift and I break stuff often as I’m incredibly clumsy so I expect I’m destined for all white or a whacky mish mash.

If you’ll enjoy it then go mad. Life is short. Plates break. Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. Carpe diem etc.

gogohm · 31/12/2021 20:12

I have Disney mugs and mats, from Paris, but plain plates (Denby)

ChoccySprinkles · 31/12/2021 21:56

Life is too short to care about what other people think of your dinnerware.

Get the Disney. They’re not tacky Disney, they’re lovely.

TueWed · 31/12/2021 21:58

We eat daily off our wedding (27 years ago) China.

We're not rich, but those plates were about £50 each, and we don't have dinner parties, and if they broke tomorrow, then they've paid for themselves

TueWed · 31/12/2021 21:59

What I meant was life it too short nit to have and use things you like & love

CurlyMango · 31/12/2021 23:19

Get the Disney one, it’s loverly and will make you smile, like it does us.

ZZGirl · 31/12/2021 23:24

Most of my kitchen stuff is disney. Go for it
