Magazine subscriptions for teen boys

This could be an AIBU.
My mum (who due to covid and living in different countries) hasn't seen my DSs (15,15,17) for 2 and a half years, so she doesn'tknowthem that well. She wanted to buy them magazine subscriptions for Christmas (she got other DGC 8.y.o. one). I discussed it with DCs first, but said thank you, no. We've done magazine subscriptions. They know what they are interested in read up and research on the internet.
Is there anything they might be interested in (paper or online)?

I'd like to say I could resist pointing out the kind of magazines your lads are probably interested in and why they wouldn't be too keen on Grandma paying for a subscription for them . . . . but I'm a dickhead and I can't. Sorry, OP.

Do they like sport, football in particular? "The Athletic'" (theathletic.com/uk/) is an online based, subscription football site they might like if they do.

@DoncasterHombre Thank for reply. Ds2 does a sport and gets a magazine for it with his licence. They are sporty but not that interested in football or fixed on any particular sport.

Any interest in history (BBC History Magazine) or the New Scientist if more science minded?

BBC Science magazine is good and not as highbrow as New Scientist.

Readily app subscription, it has every magazine on there for around £10 (might be less) a month. I use it and it’s great!

National geographic?
