Theme or adventure fun parks open in January?

My ds has his birthday in January, I'm trying to find something fun to do on his birthday but everywhere is closed! He will be 3, loves play parks and rides etc but everywhere I can think of is closed.
Is there anywhere in the Uk open? I'm fine to travel!!

What about zoos

EduCated · 28/12/2021 23:05

Hatton Adventure World in Warwickshire seems to be open, though depending where you are not sure it’s worth the travel!

The Milky Way in Devon seems to be open until the 3rd Jan, but shut for the rest of the month.

Crealy looks to be open on weekends, and potentially The Big Sheep too.

What area roughly are you?

If not what about farms, zoos etc

Hogu · 29/12/2021 09:50

I'm in the midlands but don't mind travelling. He's not that interested in zoos, much prefers to run around parks etc

trentham.co.uk/plan-your-visit/opening-times/

Monkey forest, ropes course, boat and train!

BangingOn · 29/12/2021 09:57

Hatton Adventure World has rides and plenty of space to run around as well as the farm part. Twin Lakes in Melton Mowbray could be good too.

Jumping4Ju1ce · 29/12/2021 12:14

Alton Towers

Blackpool Tower & the rides

Warwick castle

Harry Potter world

Hogu · 29/12/2021 15:47

Twin lakes & Alton towers are closed

Conkers could be worth a look!

Belton house near Grantham. Best adventure playground ever.

trevthecat · 31/12/2021 12:02

Pp suggested Blackpool, the tower is open but pleasure beach is closed until Feb half term. The lights go off next week and then it will be a ghost town for a bit

FingChristmasFamily · 31/12/2021 12:07

Longleat? Has the safari park, but also lots of other fun things to do.

Same with west midland safari park, though I’m not sure it would suit a 3 year old as well as longleat.

MakingTheBestOfIt · 31/12/2021 12:08

Does he like water parks? How about a night in the Alton Tower’s CBeebies hotel and a visit to the on site splash landings water park.

A trampoline park type place? I wouldnt drive across the uk with a 3 year old for a park... it would be better to know what's near you. National trust?

My DD birthday is first week in Jan, and we had this problem. We tend to do a quiet family birthday in Jan and then in July we’ll do the birthday treat. At first it felt weird but we/she likes having something to look forward to later in the year, plus the days are longer then.
