I’m a size 14 but bought a size 16 as it was on sale. I thought it would be hanging off me Blush Shock !!

@FallonCarringtonWannabe

Learn how to stand and sit correctly in photos.

I was awake super early today, browsing fb and came across a woman demonstrating different poses standing and sitting. Same woman. Same dress. Slightly Different positions made a huge difference. Even positioning her elbow to make her waist appear slimmer.

So eat all the cheese and just angle yourself in photos better.

Do you have a link pls?

I tried on a coat yesterday I loved in size 14 and it was tight Sad. Bought another in a 16 but I'm not happy. I lost 3 stone with slimming world about 6 years ago and I'm half a stone off putting the lot back on.

Sparkly clothes are always smaller than normal stuff. I class myself as an expert on this as I bought 3 sequin dresses on eBay recently, and they're all TINY.

God -- actually, is it me?!

Sizes can vary so much though. I can buy size 10 tops that are baggy on me in one shop, and buy size 14 tops that are tight in other stores.

The page was Blush with me - parmita photography

Im not sure how to link a page from the app. This may or may not work.

If the link doesnt work, it was posted on the 17th sept.

Bless you. It may well be the reason it was on sale! And some brands are just tiny. I bought a Lipsy dress in my normal size and could barely get it up past my hips. Had to size up twice!

I have put on a stone recently. I've gone into sugar craving overdrive and the Quality Street and After Eights aren't helping.

I am going to do the Epsom salt trick and have a bath tomorrow morning. I can always fit into anything after that it's like magic.

Tell me more mylovelydd

Please don't waste your Christmas on these unimportant things. I bet you look lovely. You will look no different from yesterday! Don't be sad today. It's Christmas. Go and enjoy your evening. What you doing like, you change. But not tonight.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 26/12/2021 00:12

@mylovelydd what is the Epsom trick? My DH took a full length picture of me and DD at Xmas lunch and I looked awful- really fat

GTAlogic · 26/12/2021 00:36

Not sure how true it is but I read somewhere that size 12 in a certain shop or brand is the average size of their customers so if it's aimed at working/lower middle class, middle aged women then it'll be larger than if it's aimed at teens or very young women, or rich women, then it'll be smaller. That might all be bollocks though.

I always thought I was a size 12-14 and was shocked when I bought a few patterns to make my own dress and blouse and found I'm a 20-22 Xmas Shock

I did lose a stone last month but it's crept up again so am going to get back on it over the next few weeks.
