very DULL question around sofas (with a shameless cute picture of my dog for traffic)

Very dull question around sofas 😁 we have an oddly shaped lounge and thus at the moment don't have sofas but a selection of single chairs and a 'snuggler'. The issue is that there are five of us and the kids are aged 11, 13 and 15 and all adult sized now (and we have three dogs too!) . We are therefore looking at corner sofas but it needs to be both compact and squishy (not a chaise one) and reasonably priced. I'm struggling to find anything that fits the brief so any thoughts oh wise ones 😁
PS. Picture of one dog is a shameless attempt to get people to look at my dull post😉

Gorgeous dog! Sorry, what else did you want to know?

@ClementineWardobe

Would buying a modular sofa where you only have an arm at one end and the other end open help? It means two people can be on it but the lanky cuddly teenager can stick their feet off the end, and you have more circulation space when people are up and about. I'd do that, two sofas where one end worked more like a chaise longue. Corner sofas are a nightmare. The corner itself never gets used. That said, a dog sometimes adopts the corner.
A few people on this thread have suggested a modular sofa, been having a look at these online… does seem to be a more flexible solution.

Why have sofas just got larger and larger over the years as well?!

@Stellaris22

No advice but just loving seeing a fellow basset owner, yours is lovely! They do end up owning sofas Smile
He not only owns the sofa he owns me as well 😉

@Lemuriformes

I have no dog (yet - when I move house in January!) but I can recommend Snug. All sorts of sizes and easy to put together or take apart and move around.
Thank you, will have a good look at this one.

@TheFairyCaravan

Have a look at Nabru. You can almost build your own sofa to fit your own specifications. We’ve had our sofa for about 9ish years now. It’s a bit of a twat to put together though
My next problem would be getting it through our ridiculously tight front door/lobby so building your own sounds appealing! I will have a look, thank you.
