I absolutely love a good curry, but have never made one from scratch, always used jars but they never turn out that nice. Has anyone got any good recommendations of who’s to try or even better have a good recipe?

Delias chicken curry is pretty foolproof but not very authentic.

Hi there, "A proper chicken curry" from BBC Good Food always goes down well when we serve it. Also for something mild a Massaman is nice and can be made more calorie friendly by using peanut butter powder

@itwasntaparty @Nonyummymummy thank you, I’ll give both a go, as I want to find one I like Smile

The best thing as a starter for chicken curry is panch phoran, it’s an all spice blend which is an amazing base for a curry. An Indian friend recommended it and I start off all curries using it, it’s amazing

This is a family favourite - also quick and easy to make. The secret is in cooking out the onions:

I cooked this for a few friends last weekend and I can honestly say it's the best curry I've ever done. It was so fresh and tasty but not over spicy. I followed the recipe to the letter.

This looks incredible, will definitely give it a try

If you want a authentic chicken curry I would suggest going on YouTube and putting in something like 'butter chicken recipe' or 'chicken jalfrezi' recipe and watching a Pakistani or Indian person make it. Makes it easier because they show simple steps in a video as well talking or having subtitles.
