Open plan living, dining, kitchen area.
I will be without a kitchen for a week. I will have a hot plate, water from the bathroom. What would you meal plan for the week? Which things should I not box up? Feeling a it overwhelmed and need to have a plan.

Ideally go and stay in a hotel for a week - we went abroad for a week when this happened in our house.
At this rate, we might be home schooling and DH wfh Xmas Shock

There are 4 of us, we live in a flat so space is already at a premium. I have a toaster, kettle and a hot plate to heat one saucepan. . I don't have Electric steamer, Rice cooker, Microwave or Slow cooker. Packet meals for a week then!

@DownWhichOfLate

I might have this wrong but I didn’t think you should drink / cook with water from the bathroom taps. If so, you might want to buy some large bottles of water.
That’s not true with modern plumbing methods it’s the exact same feed to your drinking tap - a century ago more risk around lead pipes

I bought paper plates and disposable cutlery when I had no kitchen. I also only did very simple things like ready meals and tinned soup as washing up is very difficult in a bathroom basin. We mostly had takeaways, which is not something we usually do.

I would try to get hold of a microwave, borrow or if funds allow get a cheap simple one.

It definiately makes life easier.

I thought about disposable but decided it was too wasteful. Maybe it's the way to go though. I don't want bits of food down my bathroom sink! Also straining pasta will be awkward.
