Due to the lack of any mention of Christmas.

Freiheit’s Keeping the Dream Alive has no really business being a Christmas track but I still love it (and you rarely hear it any more!)

@Geamhradh

Stay Another Day is on my top Christmas song playlist. Maybe because I'm ancient enough to remember it being on ToTP. Then again, in ancient enough to remember having my hair dried on a Sunday night to Mull of Kintyre as well. And the second record I ever had was Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks. So, you're all BU. Xmas Grin
I'm with you on Terry Jacks. I'd bought singles before but that was my second album - after Nilsson Schmilsson

Also old enough to remember Mull of Kintyre (which I like - brings back happy memories of childhood Christmases) but I'm afraid when I saw the thread title, the East 17 dirge was the first one that leapt to mind. Why on earth is it considered a Christmas song? Even if you like it, it's not remotely festive apart from some token bell jingling.

We sing it in our Christmas repertoire at choir.

Baby It’s Cold Outside. Only ever heard it played around Xmas but it literally doesn’t even mention anything festive other than cold weather.

On a similar vein, I don’t think Let it Snow mentions Christmas either. But you’d never hear those songs played in Jan/Feb when it’s probably colder and more likely to actually snow.
