Followed by crumpet, butter, Stilton, cayanne pepper which was even more delicious

Oooh, stillton and walnuts in a massive salad is great.
I add roasted cherry tomatoes, cucumber, radishes and artichokes, then serve it with toasted pita bread.
I've always made a lemony dressing m, but I'll try a honey based one next time.

Bugger I have the stilton, I have the honey, and I have walnuts (excellent addition) I just don't have any crumpets.

I’ve never had a savoury crumpet. You may have just broadened my horizons OP.

Toast crumpets, beat an egg with salt, pepper and cheddar cheese, heat a frying pan and pour the egg mix over the crumpet and fry both sides. Delicious.

Delia had a book with several crumpet ‘pizza’ ideas in.

Such as Gorgonzola and walnut….
