I think I want one for Christmas.

Please can you tell me about them and if they are worth it and what models you have.

I'm so torn as some reviewers say they haven't used their oven since buying one but I'm dubious as they are so expensive.

I'd really appreciate some advice on what you cook regularly with them.

I love my Ninjas, I have the Foodi, Max Grill & Hot & Cold Blender.

I started by following the recipes that came with them, then watched a few YouTube videos until now I have taken my oven out, changed it for a combi oven (there are just the two of us) and haven’t looked back.

It takes a little bit of effort when you start, I hadn’t used a pressure cooker in years but now can’t imagine not having one.

Ooh I was looking at these last night for the same reason OP.

I'd particularly like to know if they roast potatoes well Blush

PIL bought us one for an early Xmas. It is good but massive. It barely fits in one of our cupboards and I don’t particularly like the look of it to be kept out (don’t really have the worktop space either) so would take that into consideration. The pressure cooker lid is separate and that’s also quite a size for storing.

I’m at the stage where it’s a big faff to get out and then when you do use it, it takes a while to cook down so it needs to be left lying about. The pans can go in the dishwasher though.

They do indeed….. 😀

It’s the Foodi we have, I think there might be a newer model which is a bit slimmer. Since getting it last Friday I’ve made cottage pie, fish and chips and French fries. It really is quick and powerful and i probably had the air fryer on a bit too long. With the pressure cooker you need to build in time for it to come to pressure so the actual time spent can be quite a bit longer than the given cooking time.

I’m going to roast a chicken in it at the weekend.

We got the ninja foodie 7in1 as an early Christmas present from the in-laws last month and I've used it every day since, it meant we were able to get rid of the slow cooker, air fryer and grill so we've loads more cupboard space now. It also means we only really need to use the oven for things like pizza etc that are too big for the foodie.
So far I've made various dinners, soups, slow cooked chicken curry, baked potatoes, chilli, slow cooked gammon. My MIL has one and cooked a full chicken in 20 minutes using the pressure cooker.
Definitely worth the investment, I wish we'd got ours sooner!

I have the ninja foodie and the ninja maxi grill, I love them and use them both every week, the grill I use nearly every day for different things, it's amazing , uses less electric than my oven and cooks things nicer in my opinion as well.
The foodie is really good life the slow cook function, air fryer, pressure cook and sauté , it makes amazing crackling on pork
The newest foodie has an all in 1 lid rather than separate ones and if I didn't think my husband would divorce me I'd buy it !!
I honestly use my overnight maybe once a fortnight now and I also steam the veg in the microwave

Amazing roast potatoes!
WorraLiberty · 03/12/2021 21:01

Thanks @MsCupcake!

We never have enough room in our normal oven if the whole family comes for Sunday/Christmas dinner, so we want something to cook the extra in.

WorraLiberty · 03/12/2021 21:03

Good to know about the pork crackling too @Lovewinemorethanhusband!

mowglika · 03/12/2021 23:31

Oo def worth the investment, I rarely use my oven unless it’s too big for the foodi eg pizza. Only gripe is that it’s too small for our family of 4 so I do cram chips etc in but it still does a great job. Makes a cracking lamb pilau, I need to try the other functions now: yoghurt maker, slow cooker

crispsahoy · 04/12/2021 07:24

I have the 7in1 I love it, my oven only gets used for pizzas now. Definitely worth every penny. My only issue is the 2 lids but there's now the 14/15in1 which only has 1 lid.

I have the 3in1 food processor and the pans now too, love them all.

@WorraLiberty when I was looking online at them yesterday this was one of the first thing I searched for and they look good! Probably the first thing I am going to make.
