Reading the news atm is so depressing 😩

I live in the North East. It has been amazing how the local communities have come together to help people without power and water after Storm Arwen. Pubs with generators have opened as community hubs, local businesses have donated food, neighbours have been checking on the elderly and vulnerable.

There is a lot of crap in the world but there are also a lot of decent people and I think we tend to forget this.

Also, there have always been a lot of awful things going on in the world but I think that with social media and 24 hour news we are more aware of them. Something I have to constantly remind myself of.

I saw a lady outside Sainsbury’s the other day, trying to get 3 small girls out of her car and organised ready to go shopping.

Often people are a bit impatient at that time (just after school).

Not this lady. Her voice suddenly rang out, “FIVE GOOOO-OOOLD STACEYS!” which made the little girls laugh!

I follow the Good News Mivement and Pubity on Instagram OP, nice things happening in the world posted on there several times a day!
Today there were stories about a football match where each of the players brought into the pitch with them a dog from a local shelter to help them find homes, high school students who formed a club to cheer on other students doing activities that don’t normally have cheer squads, Dr Pepper surprising students by paying their tuition fees and a dog giving out high fives at a marathon…

The vast majority of people are kind to other and want the world to be a happy place for all.
