Depends why/circumstances and how often.

Most of the pics of me and DD are selfies. The options were have barely any pics together or do the selfies. Would I fuck let judgement over how sad, pathetic or whatever else get in the way of that. I also like how I look or what I'm wearing or whatever sometimes and I want a picture of that. If there's no one else to do it, I'll do it myself. It is what it is.

VanillaIce1 · 03/12/2021 18:38

No?? There just photos nothing wrong with it.

BiBabbles · 03/12/2021 18:52

Only if they're in the way or disrupting something.

I don't think it's automatically about attention or vanity, it can also be about fear of forgetting or just wanting photos.

I remember when I realized there were years with photos of everyone but me because I was the one taking photos, I decided I might as well take photos of myself...

No, I really dont care. Not as if theyre taking a photo of me.

@StrychnineInTheSandwiches

She is 61 and forever saying ' me and you together, take one of me peeping from around this corner' ' take one of me looking....confused, sad, happy, thoughtful cute, whatever.

peeping around the corner Grin

That really tickled me!
Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 03/12/2021 19:39

@notacooldad No I'm not perfect either Grin
But she'd have to be a bloody good friend for me to put up with that 'peeping round the corner ' stuff.
Fair play to you, I admire your patience Grin

Yes. Last week I was sitting on a bench in town waiting for DH and a woman came and stood on the bench then spent the next fucking million years taking selfies of herself jumping off the bench. She wasn't much younger than me (50s) and it was ridiculous.

We have a (overly botoxed, fillered) woman filming herself everyday at the gym - whilst sticking her arse out and pouting.
It’s funny, but also incredibly self-absorbed.

MissCrowley · 03/12/2021 22:36

Funny selfies I don't mind. Over the top pouty ones I can't be bothered with and those people are taken off my friends list/ unfollowed as they're not my people.
To me it just shows massive insecurity. I've had the same profile selfie up for about 18 months now, my hairs completely different. I just cannot be arsed. I find it fake and quite embarrassing to want constant reassurance that they're "pretty".
I sound really bitchy, I'm not, I'm just fed up of seeing over blown lips and pouting and I wonder what my 7 DD is in for when she's older.
