Applying for a 60-80% job when...

I can realistically only do 40% maximum 50. DH works 100%. DC has weekly appointments etc.
How do I go about this? Apply and if I get an interview, then mention it? Write on the application? Not apply? It's close by, and I'm sick of being a sahm.

DC has SN, IL's would probably agree to look after him two non consecutive days a week in the holidays. DH is able to wfh two days a week, which would cover after school twice a week.

Defo apply but you need to be honest about your circumstances.

Maybe write it somewhere on the application form.

I would apply and see what happens. It completely depends on the role and how much they want you (and if a job share is a possibility?). My current position was FT when I applied. I applied just at the end of mat leave, completely not expecting to get it. I was offered it and then we had to rush around trying to sort childcare. I preferred to be 80% but we could only manage 3 days a week of childcare for the first few months (2 days available at nursery and then dh took off one day a week). It was fine. They were very happy with that arrangement because I was the right candidate. Personally, I wouldn't state it in the application unless there is somewhere that specifically asks. It's usually part of post-offer negotiations.

Personally id be really annoyed if id gone to the trouble of interviewing someone to find out they couldnt do what the job advert wanted.

Maybe if your called for interview mention it then. Id defo let them know prior to interviewing though.
