Food suggestions for a delicate tummy

I've got a sickness bug and my tummy feels
very delicate. I've managed a bit of toast but struggling to think what to ask
DH to get from the shop for me. My appetite has gone!
Any suggestions?

chicken and rice aka the "sick dog diet"
plain pasta or potatoes
rich tea biscuits
tiny amounts though until you're sure it's staying down!

Porridge. Perhaps cut a banana through it. It's comforting and pretty bland.

The BRAT diet
Bananas
Rice
Apples
Toast

Knorr chicken noodle soup you make in a mug (or even better get your dh to make one from fresh.)

Pear halves or compote in a jar in plain juice.

Boiled egg and soldiers?

Listen to your stomach though. Maybe keep on the cream crackers and water until you feel better. You can go without food for a while. Keeping hydrated is the main thing.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Plain omelette always works for me.

Well browned toast. The carbon helps to neutralise stomach acid. I like to drink hot water with honey and thyme (bizarre I know) when I have a bad stomach. It definitely helps.

I also find flat fizzy drinks (normally a pink lucozade) helps in the recovery stage when you're still feeling delicate but need some strength.

Yep. Also fresh ginger tea hot or room temperature. Let it steep for about 10-15mins so the ginger volatiles get properly into the water and sip slowly so maybe make a jug full.

Also avoid dairy - so no milk in your porridge. Make it with water and add live, plain yoghurt once it's cooked.

Hope you get better soon! 🌹

Plain crackers - cream crackers or water biscuits
white rice
tinned pears in juice not syrup

Hard boiled egg, chopped up in a cup (don't know why but it has to be a cup/mug) with butter, salt and pepper. Plus original lucozade.

I'm also down with a bug. I've had dry crackers for three days. Tonight I've made some mashed potato - no butter as I'm scared what havoc fat might wreak in my digestive system but a little milk and lots of salt and pepper.

I also sent DH to the corner shop for all kinds of ridiculous fizzy drinks in interesting flavours to keep my fluids up

ice cream
