Where are you trying to get to, the city centre?

iamruth · 29/11/2021 14:07

Are you wanting to park and get a bus? If you’re going to Hazel Grove I’d park at the train station and get the train, much quicker than the dreadful 192

Yes. Going to the city centre. Will get the train then.

I travel to Derby for work reasonably frequently the A50/M6 route is much quicker than the A6 or snake pass. From that direction I would head to Sale Water Park or East Didsbury metro station park and rides and take the tram in. Parking is free and currently plentiful.

I always go that way to Liverpool. I know it well.

Check the trains I went into Manchester from Bolton on Saturday afternoon ,lots of cancellation,s and delays ,apparently it was affecting trains and trams across the city .

I travelled by train to Liverpool on Saturday and there was fairly massive disruption across the network due to the storm. I think it has settled down now.
Both Met stations I suggested have large car parks, easy access from the M60 and frequent services to the city centre. If returning late Sale Water park can be a bit isolated in the dark but has a shorted journey time.
